Collar Conditioning – April 7 and 14

Helena area Gun Dog Owners and Trainers Helena Valley Gun Dog Club,
In anticipation of the upcoming spring and summer training season, is presenting a seminar on e-collar conditioning and force fetch training. Terry Scott, longtime HVGDC member and Labrador breeder and trainer, will conduct a 2-day (morning) seminar on these basic gun dog training programs. The seminar will be invaluable to owners of retrievers, spaniels and pointing breeds and will provide insights into how to effectively incorporate these techniques into your training sessions to enhance your dog’s performance in the field.  As gun dog owners and handlers, we all like to see a dog respond quickly and with a positive attitude to the basic training commands such as come, heel, sit and whoa. As hunters, we want to have our dogs consistently make clean retrieves on birds that have been shot. Here is an opportunity to learn how to get this done with your dog.
