Thanks!

All,
The Board of Directors and the Test Committee would like to thank the membership for all their hard work in making our events last weekend a big success. We pretty much do it “on our own” and the results are gratifying to say the least. We had 116 entries for the weekend which made for some busy days. From organizing the events and judging to secretarial responsibilities, from soliciting donations to selling raffle tickets, from picking up lunches to launching ducks, from hosting the banquet and cooking steaks/burgers and brats to equipment delivery and marshaling, it was a tremendous effort on everyone’s part and you are to be commended for a job well done. We received very positive feedback and many compliments from the judges and participants alike. Many first timers said they would really like to return next year. And Elk Park gave us a taste of autumn with morning temps of 39, 37 and 32 degrees from Friday thru Sunday. We’d also like to extend a special thank you to theTreasure State Retriever Club for the use of the Bob Spark’s training grounds and their equipment. It’s a great venue.Congratulations to a number of club members who received ribbons in their respective events – Deb Termenstein/ Rose in the Qualifying;

– Brad Ferguson/ Boss (2) in the Junior;
– Al Weinert/ Ruby in the Senior; and

– Brian Bennett/ Nelle, Biff Ellington/Raven, Jim Emanuel/ Howdy, Laurie Scott/ Hooker and Terry Scott/ Teacher all in the Masters. Nice job!!

So thank you again for all your efforts on behalf of HVGDC. If you weren’t able help this year please consider doing so next year. It makes a difference.

One of the homeowners next to Eagle Bay had some complaints about gunfire, barking dogs, and parking.  In the future when training at Eagle Bay please park further down the road by the silver gate, no poppers, and if you have a mousey dog keep you truck closed up or use a bark collar.
